Greater Milwaukee Synod El Salvador Committee

The Greater Milwaukee Synod El Salvador Committee typically meets on the third Monday of each month in the synod office conference room. Attendees consist of folks who are members and friends of GMS congregations who partipate in or wish to learn about the Sister Parish Program of the Salvadoran Lutheran Church, who are involved with the Salvadoran Lutheran Church at the synod level, or who have a relationship with Comunidad Rutilio Grande. Many of the committee participants have traveled to El Salvador one or more times.

The work of the committee is divided into categories. We have a "Work Group" system that we use in order to effectively accomplish all that the committee wishes to do. Each participant on the committee is encouraged to be a member of one or more work groups. The current work groups are: the Sustainability Team (which includes work on development projects and the pastoral support endowment fund), the Sister Parish Relations group, the Education/Speakers Bureau group, the Communications group and the Rutilio Grande group.

The GMS El Salvador Committee is currently chaired by Linda Muth from St. John's Lutheran Church in Brookfield.   • Committee Meeting - Monday, June 21 at 7:00 pm at Synod Office Conference Room
  • NO Committee Meeting in July
  • Committee Meeting - Monday, August 16 at 7:00 pm at Synod Office Conference Room
  • Committee Meeting - Monday, September 20 at 7:00 pm at Synod Office Conference Room; Work Group Leaders meet at 6:30 pm
  • LA FIESTA !!! November 13 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm at St. Matthew's Wauwatosa
